With a median age of 30 and 70% of us having a bachelor's degree or higher, we stand out in the U.S. population.

Dallas is missing from the list of major US cities with Nepali population. According to the 2020 census, there are only 9,100(Reported) Nepalese living in Dallas. This makes Dallas the 11th largest city with a Nepali population in the United States.These cities, rich in job opportunities, educational resources, and cultural amenities, have become major hubs for our community.

4. Culture and Traditions

Despite being miles away from our motherland, we have managed to preserve our distinct cultural practices and traditions. Our community regularly organizes events such as Dashain and Tihar celebrations, preserving our cultural roots and providing a sense of belonging.

The entrepreneurial spirit is a distinctive characteristic of our community. Many Nepalis in the USA have embarked on their business journeys, running a range of ventures from restaurants serving delightful momos and dal bhat, to clothing stores featuring traditional Nepali wear, and IT consulting firms.

For instance, the Everest Momo Shack in Colorado, which started as a small food truck, has now expanded into multiple locations due to its popularity.
